Abstract
23. ciltte Hazret-i Hamza'nın, İran şahı Nûş-i Revân'a ve Salsal'a yaptığı savaşlar anlatılır.Çalışmamızı Eski Anadolu Türkçesi dönemine uygun nitelikte metin ve sözlük ile tamamladık. Metinde geçen kişi ve yer adları sözlük dışında indeks başlığı altında verilmiştir. Üzerinde çalıştığımız 23. cildin, İstanbul Üniversitesi Nadir Eserler Kütüphanesinde ve Yapı Kredi Sermet Çifter Araştırma Kütüphanesinde birer nüshası bulunmaktadır. Metin bu iki nüshadan yararlanılarak oluşturulmuştur.
The collection of Hamza-nâme (heroic war stories of SaintHamza), discussed within the body of Turkish Literature, were put in writing for the first time by Hamzavî, brother of Poet Ahmedî one of the companions of Commander Süleyman Çelebi. Developed by the Turks in the 14th century, this work of literature gained national identity and was well respected by the Turks. Within its contents, it includes religious themes because of the understanding of having holy wars. These stories of holy wars, revolving around Saint Hamza, who was an uncle being a year senior of Prophet Mohammed, prophet of Islam, and his family, were aimed at instilling bravery, courage, justice, rights and law to thelisteners when read publicly. In the discussed work of literature, there are much supernatural elements. These elements are based on religous themes and are somehow blended into the daily life recounted in these texts. In the 23rd volume, Saint Hamza's wars against the Nûş-i Revân and Salsal are recounted. We have completed our work on this piece of literature with the text and glossary suitable to the former Anatolian Turkish Period. Personalities and names of places mentioned in the text have been noted under index titles out of the glossary. Prints of the 23rd Volume that we have worked on can be found both in the Istanbul University Rare Found Books Library and in the Yapi Kredi Sermet Çifter Research Library. The text is created based on the the aforementioned two prints.
